Vegas Baby!

Mike and Jeff had a PA conference that they needed to attend in Vegas. Shari and I went with them. Lets just say the boys didn't go to many meetings.
It was time for a vaca for Mike and I. We spent most of the time walking around and eating.
While the boys did go to a meeting Shari and I walked around. There was a drunk guy on the side of the road that thought she was my mom. He, he, he. She wasn't happy, but it was funny. I hope that we can go to a conference again.

What a day!

I took Hallee and Addie to the doctor today. Hallee needed her kindergarten check up and Addie needed her 3 year check up. Mike had looked at Hals shot record before we arrived. He had told her she didn't need any shots.
I picked up Hal from school and we went to lunch with Mike before her appt. She asked Mike for the 8th time if she would need shots and of course he said no.
We walked in and checked in. Everything was fine. We went back and did the eye test, weight, height and blood pressure. Jill the medical assistant came in to prick her finger for her iron level. Things got a little out of control at this point. After talking with her and Hal screaming, I finally held her down. We were done, right?
The girls started playing and Mike came in to see how they were doing. We were doing fine at this point. The Doctor came in and did the exam. The girls did great. He came back in and told me that they both would need one shot. I had thought we had Hal all done last year. Ugh, all but one.
The MA went and and grabbed Mike to help me. Addie sat in Mikes lap and was given the shot. She didn't even cry or fuss until after. Mike told her if she needed some Tylenol he could give her some and Addie quit crying and was fine. Add hates any kind of medicine.
Hallee was screaming and crying. We hadn't even started. Mike had to grab her and I held her legs so she couldn't kick the poor MA. She was given the shot and wouldn't stop crying. She was so mad at Mike and I.
I kissed Mike goodbye and we took off. Hallee at this point isn't talking to me. She is still crying in her car seat and my mom can hear Hal crying as I am talking to her on the way home.
I made a quick stop to get the girls McDonalds. We arrived home and Hal finally started talking to me about an hour later.
Addie slept on the couch for a good hour and woke up happy as ever.
Hallee has been a little crabby tonight and I was wishing that Mike wasn't working the night shift.
What a day!

Addie has become the clown of our family. She is always making us laugh. She loves to play with Hallee and her friends. Addie has grown to love the snow. Addie loves to sleep in and loves to cuddle. When Addie doesn't get something she wants or get into trouble she goes and hides in the corner until she's ready to come out. She is such a big girl and we love her so much! Happy Birthday Adder.

5 years old. This girl needs to stop growing.

Hallee turned 5 this past month. She is such a sweetheart. Hallee loves to learn and loves going to preschool. Her favorite thing to do is play in the snow. She is such a great sister and loves to help Addie. Hallee is such a good example. When Hal decides that she wants to do something, she does it. She is learning to read and is very bright. Happy Birthday Hal! We love you!

Addie Bit Me!

Mike and I are out in the living room relaxing. Hallee starts screaming for me to come into the bedroom. Mike runs into the room and Hal is crying.
Hallee: Addie bit me.
Mike: Did you bite Hallee?
Addie: Yes.
Mike: Why?
Addie: Hal said she was going to beat me up. I bit her hard so she couldn't.
A this point Mike cannot stop laughing.
Mike: Hallee did you say you were going to beat your sister up?
Hallee: Yes. I was just joking.
Mike: She thought you were going to so both say your sorry.
I love being a parent.

Happy New Year!

This was the first time Mike and I have stayed home on New Years Eve. It was auch a nice and relaxing night. My parents stayed home with us. We ordered in Chinese and didn't leave our home. It was very cold that night and I don't think I would have wanted to anyway.
I was ready for our girls to go to bed so I told them it was midnight at 10:15. What a mean mom. They went out and made noise and did fireworks. I don't think they will ever know what time it really was. He, he, he.

Christmas Eve and Christmas

We had a wonderful Christmas. It was so fun to watch the girls get so excited about Santa. Mike and I enjoyed watching the girls open presents.





We always have dinner with my family on Christmas Eve. After dinner we do the nativity. Hallee of course wanted to be Mary. Addie decided that she was the sister of Mary. Ha!
