Addie's first words

I have never blogged before but Megan isn't to excited to say this so I just wanted everyone to know that Addie has spoken her first word. And it happened to be DA DA. What a little cutie.

I have been Tagged!

I have been tagged to do my 6 quirks.

1. I have to make my bed everyday! I have no clue why, but it just makes me happy.

2. I can't have my food touch! I will wash my plate if it's necessary to get some food spots off before I eat something else! For example: I can't have my salad dressing touch anything but my salad!

3. I give things nicknames. For some reason I started to name things when I was little. I call the blinker on the car the nicker-knocker. I call a pin a poke. I have no clue why I just like to nickname things.

4. I give my kids a bath 2 times a day. I bath them at night because they are dirty. I bath them in the morning just because.

5. I like it hot! I like my house hot and outside hot! Mike and my parents hate it. I rather be hot then cold I guess.


6. My laundry done and folded a certain way! For example our garments are rolled, not folded. I don't like a lot to go into the dryer too! I guess I am just weird!

Future Firefighter

Playgroup this week was fabulous! I love going to playgroup in AZ. They have great activities thanks to Kristina! We went to the fire station for play group this week. It was so much fun. They taught the kids about fire safety. We took a tour of the fire station. It was really interesting ans neat! We had a great time! Thanks Shift C!

Work

I work 2 or 3 days a month. I don't work a lot, but it's a good way to get a break. I got home on Thursday night and got the kids ready for bed. I got them out of the bath and fed Addie. I was a little tired from being up so early. I knew I had to be up really early the next morning so I wanted to just sit for 2 min. by myself. Mike was in the front room so I could have a few minutes by myself. Hallee of course didn't want me to be by myself. She kept bugging me. I told her to go and bug her dad for a minute, but she wouldn't go. Finally I told her can I have 2 minutes by myself? Hallee replied by saying "But Mom I want to be with you. Can you hold and snuggle me?" How cute is that? I love to be a mom even when I am really tired. Seeing my babes smile makes my day!

Sleepy

I was feeding Addie her cereal tonight and she kept falling asleep. I just started to laugh and made Mike get the camera. She kept taking a bite and then would fall over, but at the last minute catch herself. So cute!

Addie's getting teeth!

Addie has been so crabby the past 2 days. She is getting her two bottom teeth. I got her smiling this morning. You cant see them yet, but soon. I cannot complain because she is such a good baby.

My Mike

I have got to tell everyone that I think I have the best husband in the world. I am so grateful for him. He goes to school all day and studies all night. I came home tonight to see Mike with Addie in his arms screaming! Mike takes the girls on Wed. night at 9pm so that I can go and play volleyball with some ladies in the ward. He didn't call me to come home or anything. I came home and took her from him and she calmed right down. Mike didn't complain or get mad, he just went into the bedroom so he could get some homework done.
I am loving being a full time mom and staying at home. This PA school experience is totally not what I expected. Our family is growing stronger everyday that we are here. We are loving AZ and this is where we were supposed to go for school.

Do they look alike?

I think that Hallee and Addie look so much alike. So many people call it both ways. I am so excited to see how much they end up being alike. Hallee is about 10 months in this picture and Addie is 6 months. What do you think?

Hallee got mail!

Meme sent us a package in the mail. Hallee was so excited to get something in the mail. She put on her new swimsuit that Meme had gotten for her and grabbed her Mermaid barbie that was in the package too. She then was ready to go swimming and then take a bath! I had to take a picture of her with all her new presents. Thanks Meme!

Karver

My cuz Karli had a little baby named Carver a couple of months after I did. We wanted to take pictures of them together. Karver was so cute and put his arm around Addie. My Uncle Danny sent these pictures and wrote "my baby is cuter than your baby". Well Danny, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Ha! Ha!

Preschool

Hallee started preschool this week. She has been so excited to go. She had to pick out her dress and shoes the night before. She set her backpack by the front door and had it ready to go. She was sure up in time to go she was so excited! She came home so excited and wanted to go right back! Thanks Meme and Papa for helping us get her there!

Swimming Scare

We had a terrific time with some PA and ward friends yesterday. We swam and had a BBQ. I was watching Addie as she was being fussy. Mike got out of the pool to BBQ. Mike took off H's wings when they got out. I never take off her wings because there is 2 of them and 1 of me. I was paying attention to Addie and I look over and see this purple swimsuit under water. I grab Hallee and made sure she was okay. I put her up to my face and got really mad at her. Mike learned a very important lesson. We were very lucky that I was right there!

Washing Hands

Hallee loves to wash her hands! She spends 10 minutes in the bathroom after she uses the potty. Sometimes she spends a little too much time and makes a mess!
