Sunny Side Up!

The girls were able to go and visit my friend Elissa. We have been friends for a very long time and it was so good to see her. Elissas parents bought a new home that is amazing. They have everything that is fun!
In the backyard they have a horse, chickens and ducks. Victoria and Elissa let Hallee grab some eggs that the chicken had laid. Hallee was able to take one home. She was showing her egg off to everyone she could. My mom brought home this backpack for Hallee. She was so excited and put all her treasures in it.
This morning she was looking at her backpack and saw that it had a stain. My mom opened it up to see what she had put in the backpack. You guessed it. It was the egg all smashed. I am so sad that I didn't get a picture of her, or the egg. We just may have to go back and get another.
Thanks Elissa, Tiina, Victoria, Gabi and Alex for letting us play with all of you!

The Pinning Ceremony.

ATSU has a White Coat or Pinning Ceremony for the second years. The first Years get the coat and the second years get the pin. Mike received his pin last night. We had so much fun.
The night started off at the Mesa Arts Center. The program was very nice. They had a repeat of the same talks that they had last year. At this point Trish and I decided that we could do a photo shoot of ourselves. We had a blast taking pictures and laughing. We couldn't see any of the students at this point.
After the presentation we took pictures and decided to go out to dinner. We went to Texas Roadhouse and had a ball. Jason is a first year and is very funny. He was complaining about his tire around his stomach. Mike saw the picture he happened to be sitting by and snapped a shot. Look at the picture and you will laugh!

Life is going too fast.

Mike is about to start rotations. It feels like summer is flying. Hallee and Addie are playing so well together and growing so fast. Can I make life slow just a little.

Mike has been studying so hard he really doesn't do much for the kidos right at the moment. Hallee and Addie were taking a bath yesterday before church and I had gotten Add out to get dressed and hair done. Hallee was still playing and wanted to get out. I was just finishing Adds hair and Hallee wanted to get out. Hallee was getting out and Mike went to help with her towell. Hallee began to scream at him. "I do it all by myself dad!" I was mad at Mike because I had to hang the towel just right so Hallee could start over. I began to get mad at Mike. I have trained Hallee to be independent. She is old enough to get her own towel. I told him that she gets out and then she will go get dressed. I let her pick out her own clothes if I can do her hair. We compromise. Mike started laughing when Hallee turned to him and said "that's our routine."

I can't wait for the day that Mike is no longer studying. I feel like it will be here before I know it.

So sweet.

My mom and Hallee got up early on my birthday to make me a cake. They are so sweet.
Hallee got some new goggles to swim with. To say the least she loves them.

Swimming lessons

Hallee has been taking swimming lessons the past few weeks. She had a hard time at first as was the screamer of the group. She way improved and the teacher said to me that it is rare for the screamer of the group to be one of the best swimmers. When that was said she was able to do two more weeks.
Addie on the other hand didn't enjoy them as much as Hallee. She warmed up at the end, but overall I don't think she wants to do it again.

Visit from Meme and Papa

My mom came for a week to stay and my dad was originally going to stay home. He ended up coming to stay at the last minute for 2 days. The girls played hide and seek and swam.
We had a great 4th with our friends. We even had the best place to watch fireworks. Brookes backyard is the place where the light the fireworks. It was great to sit on the lawn and watch. The beauty of the whole situation is that there was no crowd where we were at. It was so much fun. Thanks everyone.
Our famliy picture wasn't so great, but I put it on anyway.
