Update on swimming.

Everything went fantastic today. I am hoping it will last. Thanks Hal for being so brave.

What to do?

Hallee is taking swimming lessons. Well there would be pictures if my child wasn't a brat. Hallee isn't liking swim lessons. She has had the worst outburst at the pool. Let me paint a picture for you. The pool is an outdoor pool with bleachers in the shade so everyone can watch, can watch my kid that is having a tantrum. Hallee will not get into the pool. I put her in this morning and she jumped out and of course came to me. This is the second day this has happened. I hate it. Everyone is watching my child kick and scream.
I love the lifeguards at the pool to say the least. There is this girl who is a gem. She has come to my rescue 2 days in a row. The first day she came and took Hallee and said I will take her. If you let her get away with this she has won. Today was even harder. Hallee was crazy before she even got in. She was kicking and screaming, but just before I was going to give up the girl guard came again. To say the least I love her. She said go and get Hallee and bring her to me. I went and got her from Mike. Mike was on the way to the car. I gave her to the guard and she said leave now. I heard H crying for a while and then it stopped. She came out and said to come back in. She let us in the gate so Hallee wouldn't see us come back in. Hallee was laughing and having fun. Thank goodness. Lets hope all goes well tomorrow. Thank you to the guard that takes my screamer everyday. We really do appreciate you!

Getting to Know Dad

Hallee and I were reading the friend and they had a section on getting to know your dad. I decided to ask her the questions and just see her answers.

1. Did your dad have a pet? Yes, me.
2. What was (is) your dads favorite subject in school? Puter (computer)
3. What is your dads favorite hobby? I rephrased the question to what does your dad like to do? Play at the park.
4. Who was his best friend? Hallee said I was. Me: you were not alive. Hallee: I promise I was.
5. What was his favorite food? Ice cream
6. Did he get an allowance? 5 pennies
7. Who was his hero? I asked her who did he look up to? Hallee said he didn't look up to anyone. Me: I am sure he did. Hallee: No he's taller than me and you.
8. Did he have a favorite toy? Dora
9. How was dad like you when he was little? Smart
10. How was he different? He doesn't get to paint his nails.
11. What do you have that hadn't been invented yet when he was your age? Dora

Mike and I just laughed the whole time I was asking her these questions.

Busy!

We have been so busy the past couple of weeks. I did take pictures. I won't go into detail of all we did, but we sure have had some fun. My parents came to visit for 3 days. We were able to go and see Brian Regan. He was so funny and we enjoyed the time with my parents.
Mikes parents came for 5 days and we did some fun things too. We went to Prescott to visit his uncle Dave. The girls sure had a great time with his old fire truck. Thanks for coming to visit, we had fun.
Mike is in the middle of finals and is looking at his computer 24/7. I guess that is okay because we purchased a computer for me! I finally got a computer!! It's a MacBook. I hope I will be better at posting now that I don't have to wait for a turn!
If anyone wants to come to a tea party just stop by. Hallees new favorite thing to do! I forgot to mention that Addies hair fits in a pony. Hurrah!
Everything is going great and time is flying by!

What a conversation!

Today was just a regular day in almost every aspect. Mike called at lunch to see how we were doing. He does this everyday, so this isn't anything different. Hallee got on the phone and out of all the things we had done began to tell him about her going to the bathroom.
Hallee: "Dad, I just went pooh in the toilet. I wiped my own butt and flushed the toilet. I got up on the counter and put soap in my hands and washed them really good. I turned off the water and wiped my hands off and turned off the light."

Mike: "Thats great Hal."

Hallee then handed me the phone. I talked with Mike and he asked me if that was the highlight of her day? I said that I thought she would of said something about swimming or helping me clean and earning 25 cents. Guess not.

Ouch!

We went to pizza with some friends tonight and I thought I would show off Hallees war wound. We were getting dessert and Hallee got hurt. I didn't see how it happened but it was pretty bad. She sliced her lip and you could see where it hit from the outside. I took pictures and Hal wanted everyone to know.

Who's the PA student?

I have to tell this story. Addie has been acting funny the last couple of days. I have gotten maybe 3-5 hours of sleep each night for the last 3 nights. I have been thinking that something was wrong. Addie would have a fever and then I would give her meds and it would go away. Mike looked at her and talked to his brother and they thought she was alright. A nurse looked at her and said that I was overreacting. I was so mad at Mike because he hadn't described it right to Mikes brother Jeff. I really thought I was crazy! Late last night I went to the Dr. because I knew that something was wrong! To put it nicely Mike and I were fighting about it. I waited in the waiting room with my two girls. Hallee was so sweet and good while waiting. After 2 hours at the office I found out that Addie had pink eye! I knew it! I had told Mike I thought it was pink eye and everyone told me different. I called Mike and said in a sarcastic voice "maybe I should be the one in PA school." Addie slept so much better last night and so did I. I feel bad looking back, but I was so tired and sick of no one listening to me. Mike just said as I was writing this "good thing I am only a first year!" I love you Mike!
